High Tea in the Town House
Especially for Clan Strachan, the impressive Neo-Gothic Town House of Aberdeen City will open its doors for a private tour and viewing led by Aberdeen’s Town Sergeant. Situated in the main city centre, guests will have the chance to enjoy a glass of Prosecco and delicious high tea within the grandeur of the building, whilst also having exclusive access for the afternoon to the St. Nicholas Room with Heraldic ceiling, Town and County Hall as well as the Bon Accord Dining Room and the official municipal rooms where guests can see first-hand what the wealth of 19th century Aberdeen stood for. Maybe the Lord and Lady Provost will drop by for tea and photographs? During the era of the Clan system it was the custom of the chiefs to summon their clansmen to periodical gatherings for hunting, the practice of military exercises and the transaction of clan business. Over time this became known as Highland Games.
